SOUND OFF AGAINST SILENCE!
PCAWA has launched our month long Sound Off Against Silence campaign with a flash mob on February 14, in tandem with V-Day’s One Billion Rising campaign to end violence against women and girls. Sound Off Against Silence aims to spark conversation, raise the volume and make waves to end violence against women. We are asking our community to come together and commit to take action to end violence against women in Peel. #SoundOffAgainstSilence

This training is the second phase of the Peel Violence Against Women (VAW)/French Language Services (FLS) Referral Agreement. This training is structured for both frontline and management staff across the VAW and various sectors that women access for services in Peel.
Participants will learn about how the Peel VAW/FLS Referral Agreement works, current promising practices of giving an effective active offer of FLS and have the opportunity to network with cross-sectoral service providers women access in Peel. Participants will also receive one-copy of the referral agreement (in English or French) and the tool kit.

The event takes place on the anniversary of the 1989 École Polytechnique massacre
where fourteen women were murdered in an act of gender-based violence.
The shoe memorial was originally adopted from the City of Vancouver's Shoe Memorial.
Our shoe memorial will be on display in the Garden Square.
Each pair of shoes at this event is to be representative of the women across Canada
that have lost their lives due to gender-based violence.
